Surprise Attack on Security Vehicle in Quito, Ecuador

According to Extra.com, five assailants intercepted a security vehicle that was transferring money from a Pacific Bank located in the offices of Telecommunications Corporation (CNT) on Monday at 9:00 a.m. The twelve assailants were riding motorcycles and armed with high-powered weapons. The incident occurred between Gaspar de Villarroel and Amazonas Avenues in Quito. As the guards exited the building, the suspects fired gunshots into the air, intimidating people in the area. The guards were held at gunpoint. Investigators collected evidence that reportedly included nine-millimeter caliber bullets. The assailants made off with a large sum of money.
