Guyana: Nigerian arrested, convicted of entering country illegally from Suriname

A Nigerian man has been charged for entering Guyana illegally. The accused, Banard Chukuniba, pleaded guilty to the allegation when his case was presented to Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine Beharry last Monday. As stated in the charge, Chukuniba entered Guyana by sea via the Corentyne River without presenting himself to an immigration officer. Read Article
