Peru Strengthens Migratory Control at Tumbes near Ecuador Border

elcomercio.pe reported… With the purpose of strengthening the migratory control in the northern border, the National Superintendence of Migrations activated this Thursday the Photographic and Decatalogical Registry of the foreigners who daily enter the country through the Binational Border Care Center (CEBAF) of Tumbes .

In this way, indicated Migrations, will be made the registration of the photograph of the face and the ten fingerprints of foreign citizens, information that is incorporated into the Migration Control System and will be shared with the National Police of Peru.

The minister reiterated that these measures adopted “is not about persecuting anyone, but about ordering from a security perspective, we are a sovereign country and we have an obligation to protect the security of Peruvians and foreigners in the national territory.” Read Article
