Argentina Crime Rate Registers 6% lower in 2016 compared to 2015

EFE.com reported Argentina registered 6% less crime in 2016 than in 2015, a decline that makes it the third country with the lowest number of crimes in Latin America behind Chile and Ecuador, announced today the country’s security minister, Patricia Bullrich .

The head of the Security portfolio said that crime fell in Argentina in the 29 crimes collected in the Criminal Statistics of 2016, presented on Tuesday alongside the National Victimization Survey of 2017.

In this sense, it reflects that malicious actions fell by 22% throughout the country, homicides were reduced by 9%, threats by 14% and robberies by 2%, while robberies and property crimes did At 3%, Bullrich said. Read Article
