Los Hornos, Argentina: Mother Helps Rescue Daughter from Sex Trafficking Network

On August 21, 2013 Terra Noticias reported the case of a woman who helped rescue her daughter from a trafficking network that had held the girl captive for nearly two months and forced her to work as a prostitute. Luisa López managed to find the address of the house in Los Hornos where her disabled 18-year-old daughter, Karen Alejandra Tobares, was being held when the kidnapper’s sister offered to reveal Karen’s location in exchange for 2,000 pesos. Once she ascertained the information was accurate, Luisa López went to the police who then rescued her daughter. Read Article
