Ecuador: Over 1000 traffic related deaths first five months of 2014

Ecuavisa.com reported from January to may 2014 1,081 deaths in the Ecuador have been road traffic, which was located at 922, in the same period in 2013. According to the sector Manager of the national agency of transit (ANT), Juan Pazos, the Agency adopted control measures to lower the mortality rate on the roads. “It left an express provision for working with fotoradares in the subject of control in developing.” During the five months of 2014, Pichincha leads the list of provinces with 186 deaths in traffic accidents. Of the total of those accidents, 40% occurs in automobiles; 15%, trucks; 15%, motorcycles; and 6% in public transport buses. Read Article
