Colombia Participates in Plan to Reduce Vehicular Accidents

•Universal.com.co reports that Colombia is working with the UN and the World Health Organization (WHO) to reduce the number of deaths due to roadside accidents.
•Different groups such as the mayor’s offices of Bogotá and Medellín and National Police will be working with the WHO as part of their Decade of Action for Road Security.
•This will involve national and regional efforts within Colombia.
•Currently 5000 deaths a year are related to vehicular accidents in Colombia.
•Road security will be part of the national plan for development.
