Brazen thieves target large department store Guayaquil Ecuador, ends in gun battle

Two suspects were arrested antisocial yesterday morning while a third escaped after they raided the Treasury Department in Tosi House Aguirre and Pedro Carbo streets in the city’s commercial center, just meters from the building interior and municipality.

According to local employees, the incident occurred at 10:00 when two men posing as customers and arrived at the Treasury Department on the fifth floor of the company where threatened with weapons to other employees who deliver the money.

A woman who worked in the area said the robbers put packing tape but managed to break out a few minutes and alerted security personnel to shut the doors. Read Article
