Venezuela retains plane used in drug smuggling

The Bolivarian National Guard has retained a plane believed to be used for drug smuggling. The plane is a dual-engine aircraft and remains at the Josefa Camejo airport in Punto Fijo, Venezuela. The plane was retained after guards performed a narcotics test on the aircraft, which yielded positive results for cocaine, El Tiempo reports. Two Mexicans on board the plane were also detained. The aircraft had arrived from Curacao and was destined for Las Piedras. The case remains under investigation. Read Article
