Quito Ecuador: Passengers Raise Hell, refuse to exit plane on TAME flight

quito/cuenca flight not able to land due to weather conditions / passengers go ballistic

eltelegrafo.com.ec / An air passenger protest today in Ecuador. This morning, TAME Flight 173 could not land in Cuenca because the airline said there were meteorological issues including poor visibility on the runway due to the presence of fog banks. The plane detoured  to Guayaquil. The plane made another attempt to fly to Cuenca. However, poor weather conditions continued, so the flight crew decided to return to Quito. Passengers were incensed and 32 of them out of a total of 102 refused to get off the plane when it landed. Some photos were posted from inside the plane on social media.  Some of the passengers claimed the weather was clear in Cuenca. Other passengers were compensated when the flight was cancelled.
