Venezuela authorities seize 2.7 tons of illegal drugs on near border with Colombia

The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB, militarized police) discovered a stash of 2.7 tons of drugs in Tachira state (northwest), which borders Colombia, the second largest of the year, said the Ministry of Interior. General Juan Romero, commander of the GNB, provide details of the find in the course of the day from the city of San Cristobal, capital of Tachira, said on his Twitter account press chief of the Interior Ministry, Jorge Galindo. “This is one of the largest drug seizures we have achieved this year,” the official said without confirming whether it is cocaine, marijuana or other alkaloid.
