Tulcan, Ecuador: Falsified Pills Found in Raids

ElNorte.ec reports on Tuesday, July 19th altered medication was found in two houses in the south of Tulcan by the Ecuadorian National Police. Officials say a secret lab was also discovered. Police say tools and equipment for the manufacturing of altered medication were found in the two places. Additionally, police say in the first location located on the streets of Veintimilla and Pasaje a vast quanitity of pills were found, some incorrectly labeled. Police found jars of liquid and white substance at the residence. At the second location, in the suburb of Vivienda Popular, police found cardboard boxes with tools used to manufacture drugs with different brand names. Police say they arrested three people in the raids. Authorities are investigating whether the medication was sold in the Carachi province and in the south of Colombia.Read Article
