Tribunal in São Paulo, Brazil, Pays 41 Workers R$5.3 Million in December

On February 18, 2013, O Estado de São Paulo reported that the state of São Paulo paid administrators within its Regional Tribunal some R$5.3 million in the month of December, including a payment of over R$300,000 to one administrator.  The report says that the compensation program, VPNI, allowed certain payments due to the administrators to roll over with time, bringing a large payment in the end.  The top ten compensated within the group earned nearly half of the sum, while funds were also paid to eight retirees.  All resources were made available by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE).  Read Article
