Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Colombian Drug Lord Detained at Airport for False Documentation

correio24horas.com.br reported on June 3, 2013 that the Federal Police this past Friday evening, arrested Colombian drug lord John Freddy Manco Torres, known as “El Indio”, at the Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (Galeão) in Rio de Janeiro. “El Indio” was arrested due to the use of a false Spanish passport. He was wanted in Colombia for drug trafficking association as well as corrupting a public official. His name was on the U.S. index of individuals and companies accused of money laundering.
