Quito Ecuador: theft of cancer drugs from hospital causing problems for patients

Elcomercio.com reported… Some cancer patients being treated at the Hospital Eugenio Espejo, have experienced irregularity in the delivery of your medications. The explanation given to them in the hospital is that the shortage is due to theft that occurred in the hospital pharmacy, on 26 May, which amounted to almost USD 55,000. One patient who complained last week is a woman of 67 years, which extracted a breast tumor and who prefers anonymity for fear of retaliation. As part of his treatment was to take a daily tablet of exemestane, an oral chemotherapy to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
