Police shut down drug lab in Loja

Eluniverso.com reported that the national police on Friday presented the results of the operation called “Swirls II”, which managed the arrest of José Jiménez Marcos Olmedo, who according to the military would be the main leader of a drug trafficking organization, formed by Ecuadorians, Colombians and Peruvians. The network operated in the southern border and was dedicated to the collection of chemical inputs, processing, transportation and marketing of psychotropic substances, specifically in the city of Cariamanga (Canton Bald), located 111 kilometers from the capital of Loja.
