Police Close Drug Route in Tocantins, Brazil; Two Arrested

On January 16, 2013, Conexão Tocantins reported that authorities discovered and closed down a drug selling point in Porto Nacional, roughly 70 kilometers south of Palmas, the state capital of Tocantins.  Police arrested two men, Willian Alves de Freitas and José Lopes Sampaio, on drug trafficking and accessory charges.  Police discovered Alves de Freitas and Sampaio in a house in the neighborhood of São Francisco, where they found on the men cash and rocks of crack cocaine.  Read Article
