Peru: Man detained trafficking dynamite on interprovincial bus

Intensified operational by the Highway Police yesterday led to the arrest of a subject who was traveling in an interprovincial bus carrying his belongings over 60 sticks of dynamite. The man suspected to be explosives trafficker was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division of Camana, according to elpueblo.com.pe.

The police action came last Friday at 23:45 hours at kilometer 853 of the Panamericana Sur where the troops ordered Andía Juan Medina, bus driver UD-3076 Latin King company stopped on the side of the road. The officers approached the unit checking the luggage of some passengers in the lounge of the unit.
