Peru: 850 cartons smuggled cigarettes seized, from Paraguay

The Highway Patrol conducted a procedure late Tuesday, by which seized 850 cartons of cigarettes at home Paraguayan customs offense.
As reported by the Department of Press and Public Relations of the distribution, 21.15 last night when personnel of the Rivera Detachment, stationed on Route 28 Km 20 border department, gave the stop sign for a routine inspection at a Chevrolet Corsa car model.

Vehicle occupants ignored and were quickly on the run, being chased by the troops, who minutes later managed to locate the unit abandoned on the side of the road and without occupants, particularly at kilometer 27 of the same route. Read Article
