Paraguay: 3.5 Tons of Marijuana Seized in Lake Itaipú

From Diario La Jordana on June 3, 2013- Agents of the Military Police found more than 3.5 tons of marijuana hidden along the banks of Lake Itaipú. Intelligence gathered by the Environmental Police led to the seizure of the marijuana. The authorities conducted the search for the drugs by both land and water. The drugs were found hidden in burlap sacks covered by tarps and weeds in a wooded area.  There were no arrests made. Read Article
