Official of Galapagos National Park Released from Job, 3 People Suspended

According to ElComercio.com after an investigation into financial irregularities in the Galapagos National Park administration, Gaby Cisneros Ribero was fired for neglecting the protection of personal passwords for accessing the system of Registry Control. Furthermore, Eddie Navarrete was suspended for 30 days without pay. Finally, Sandra Cobos and Carmen Estela were suspended for 15 days without pay. Officials participating in the investigations say there was evidence of institutional resource transfers to personal bank accounts of the four people accused. The investigators reported the accused four to the local prosecutor for possible criminal charges.Read Article
