Mother and daughter detained in Venezuela for drug trafficking

A mother and daughter were arrested in the Zanjón de Cúa sector of Miranda state, Venezuela for drug trafficking, drug consumption, and illegal possession of a weapon. The two were arrested after officials raided their residence and discovered a gun without a permit. Seven bundles of marijuana and cash were also found, El Universal reports. Vilma Yracema Mijares Palma (51) and Jennifer Espinoza Mijares (29) were identified as the two women arrested. The raid occurred in the presence of two witnesses on a legal search warrant.
