Mexico: extortion and internet fraud among other crimes seeing increase in 2012

The Scientific Division of the Federal Police reported an increase in crimes of extortion and fraud using the Internet for the period of January to June 30, 2012 to receive 5000 complaints.
In the area of ​​electronic crimes against children and adolescents as corruption, pornography, sex tourism, pandering, human trafficking and child abuse increased from 86 cases in 2006 to 603 cases by June 30, 2012.
