Mexico: Eight killed, wounded in clash between police and gunmen border of Jalisco and Michoacan

At least eight people were killed and eight others injured today in three clashes between police and gunmen suspected of organized crime in the border between the states of Jalisco and Michoacan (western Mexico). Sources of public safety and the prosecution of Michoacan told Efe that four policemen were killed Briseñas Township this morning to be ambushed by an armed, when they came to check the report of a car accident in the early hours of Sunday. The officers were attacked by a group of armed people at kilometer 53 of the highway to Vista Hermosa where the shooting was raised, which also seriously injured five more police officers.
