Man wanted for murder in Texas, detained in Venezuela, extradited back to U.S.

officer.com reported a Houston man on the run for more than seven years has been taken into custody for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend whose body was found in a shallow grave in Walker County in 2008.

Neriah Louis Roberts was booked into the Walker County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder Thursday after federal agents transported him from Venezuela where he had been detained on a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Texas Ranger Steve Jeter picked Roberts up in Houston and escorted him to Huntsville. Read Article
