Head of Ndrangheta Italian mafia found in Bolivia

Alessandro Maria Maesano, head of the Italian Ndrangheta mafia wanted on multiple counts of narco-trafficking in Italy, was discovered in Santa Cruz, Bolivia after over a year of intelligence work. According to Los Tiempos, he had entered Bolivia via Chile with a false identity. The Ndrangheta is one of the largest mafias in Italy and its activities extend across Europe and Latin America.
