Guayaquil Ecuador: At least 1000 inmates suffering drug withdrawal since transfer to new prison

Eluniverso.com reported that Around of 1,000 inmates have been diagnosed with problems of addictions in the new prison in Guayaquil, so it will be attended by doctors from the Ministry of public health, since these competences were transferred by the Ministry of Justice.

For the moment, a group of doctors is developing the medical records of the inmates and initiating the respective treatments, especially against drug withdrawal syndrome.
