FARC Guerilla Head Captured While Searching for Kidnapped Chinese Workers

•Walter Hernández, alias “el Viejo,” was captured in El Doncello, Caquetá in Colombia according to El Periodiquito.
•Hernández is one of the main heads of FARC’s “Teófilo Forero” column which operates in Caquetá and Huila.
•The captured workers of Chinese Sinochem and British Emeral Energy have been identified as Zhau Hong, Yang Jing and Tang Guo Fu.
•Information about the fourth worker is unknown except for that the worker functioned as a translator for the other three.
•Colonel Carlos Vargas, captain of the Caquetá police, states that a demand for ransom is possible, as the Teófilo Forero has been having financial difficulties due to successful police activity against them. Read Article
