Two Quebecers dead in Ecuador earthquake that killed at least 235
Two Canadians were among the 233 people killed during a powerful earthquake in Ecuador Saturday night. “Canadian officials at our embassy in Quito are reaching out to Canadian citizens in-country and providing assistance to Canadians affected by the earthquake,” said Foreign Affairs Minister Stéphane Dion in a statement. The names of the two victims have not been released. This is the strongest earthquake to hit Ecuador since 1979. Read Article
