Ecuador to add 4000 police to ranks in 2012

Finance Minister, Patricio Rivera, reported that a large part of the increase in personnel costs for next year is explained by an increase of 4 000 police officers to the ranks of security. According to the pro forma 2012, submitted by the Executive to the Assembly, the personnel costs (payment of salaries to bureaucracy) will rise by USD 1 127 million, compared to that provided in 2011.
