Ecuador: three Mexican nationals detained transporting 2,000 gallons of illegal fuel

The foreigners were arrested Saturday afternoon, 12 miles from the town of Canoa, San Vicente, by members of the Navy who noticed the presence of three men in a speedboat (go fast) color lead. The boat has three outboard motors 350 hp and is the latest technology, said those involved in the operation. It was learned that members of the Harbor Bay Caráquez were patrolling the area for a missing fisherman Jaramijó, when they realized the boat carrying 2,000 gallons of fuel whose origin could not justify its crew.
