Ecuador: September 30, 2012, cellphones going to 10 digits

As of September 30 adds a new digit to the cell, so their current mobile numbers have ten digits from that date. The measure is part of the National Pan Connectivity that was approved in 2008.

The digit will be unique for all users. In this case, nine will be located after the zero and this will identify the call from a mobile phone. This measure is intended to alleviate the demand for cell lines which now number 16.2 million, apliándose 100 million new lines. Read Artticle
