Ecuador: Government demands newspaper La Hora to filter, censor readers comments

lahora.com.ec reported that the national secretary of Communication manager, Patricio Barriga, sent a letter to The Time in which requires’ effective filter ‘for readers’ comments in their print and digital editions. Here is the letter in full, for analysis and discussion: “On many occasions we have seen publications that seek to hide behind offensive reviews ‘citizen’ and found space in the virtual written and edited its newspaper.
