Ecuador, Fourth Suspect Arrested in Assault of Assemblywoman
According to Esperso.ec Mario Andres Perez was arrested by the judicial Police in connection with an assault on Assemblywoman Gilmar Gutierrez two months ago. Mr. Perez was arrested in Guayas with a warrant issued by the Fourth Criminal Court in Guayas. During a press conference yesterday, no details were elaborated on due to a continuing investigation. The assault on Assemblywoman Gutierrez occurred on April 14 when three men interrupted a dinner she was sharing with friends at Manny’s restaurant in Guayaquil, and stripped them of all their belongings. A security guard noticed the incident and detained the men after a short exchange of gunfire.Read Article
