Ecuador: Fishermen being assaulted taking catch to market almost daily on route from Playas to Progreso

“Almost no one assault per day at the same time and for the same area,” and referred yesterday the driver of a truck that came to show solidarity with a merchant who denounced the prosecution that on Tuesday night was assaulted and his wife became wound. According to victims, the assaults occur between 21:00 and midnight, which is the period when traders return to the Peninsula after selling their fish in the markets.
