ECUADOR, 20 foreign tourists held by six armed men for one hour, robbed of all belongings, cash

A gang of criminals held for one hour at a group of twenty foreign tourists who entered the lagoons of Cuyabeno wildlife reserve in the province of Sucumbios. The group of foreigners, mostly Europeans, Americans and Chileans, was surprised by six heavily armed men who intimidated them with threats of murder and stripped them of all their belongings they carried.The incident occurred on Monday, 30 minutes from the Cuyabeno bridge downstream, in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.
