Costa Rica: Alert to vacation plan scams

The Office of the Ministry of Economy Consumer alert the public about scams vacation plans.
Cynthia Zapata, head of the unit, said that his client receives numerous complaints of people affected, who claim to have signed contracts with terms unclear or nonexistent. Even regretted that there are “companies” that perform advanced billing for services not provided at all. This, he said, qualifies as a scam. The official said that discomfort with vacation plans occurs both in the dry season, when they receive most manifestations of discontent, and in mid-term break in July. Read Article
