Correa Draws Line at Talks with EU

President Rafael Correa denied that he resumed trade talks with EU for his government will not trespass the “red line” despite EU “serious proposals which we were to determine whether to agree or not, promissing to answer this week.
The terms of the document include public purchases, having EU and Ecuadorian companies compete under similar terms, a notion he defined in his Saturday briefing as absurd for it means trashing national output. We can run the international contest but with a safe margin for Ecuadorian interests. Read Article
