Colombian Police Seize 1.4 Tons of Cocaine Heading to Guatemala

From lainformacion.com on May 29, 2013- According to authorities, police in Colombia seized 1.4 tons of cocaine hydrochloride in the city of Cali. The drugs belong to a criminal gang known as “Los Rastrojos.” It is believed that from Cali the drugs were intended to go to the Pacific port city of Buenaventura and from there to the Guatemalan port city of Puerto Quetzal. The investigation revealed that the drugs were being sent to a cartel, but it is not known which one. Colombian authorities are not ruling out that a Mexican cartel could be behind the shipment and because of that, Colombian authorities have been sharing information with Anti-narcotics and police divisions in both Guatemala and Mexico.
