Colombian Drug Mule Remains in Dominican Morgue Two Months after Death

According to lainformacion.com on May 22, 2013, the Anti-drug agency of the Dominican Republic is still in the possession of the body of a Colombian man who died more than two months ago in Santo Domingo. Ruptured bags of drugs inside the man’s stomach were the cause of death. The forensic authorities said that the drugs ingested by the man have the characteristics of liquid heroin. Although it has been two months since Pablo Enrique Porras Ávila passed away, no one has claimed the body despite the Colombian Embassy being notified of the death. The authorities are currently trying to determine if Porras Ávila ingested the drugs prior to coming to the Dominican Republic or if they were ingested in the D.R. and destined for a third country.
