Colombia upholds Argentina’s extradition request for narco-trafficker “El Canoso”

The criminal chamber of the Supreme Court of Colombia agreed to extradite Argemiro Sierra Pastrana (70), alias “El Canoso” to Argentina, where he is wanted for crimes associated with drug trafficking throughout Central and South America, as well as Europe, in addition to human smuggling. He is one of the most wanted narco-traffickers in South America, El Espectador reports. El Canoso has also been linked to the Mexican narco-trafficker Mario Roberto Segovia, who is known as the “King of Cocaine.” El Canoso was captured a year ago in Villavicencio with another narco-trafficker, Orlando Rodríguez Castrillón, alias “El Indio,” who was wanted by authorities in Brazil. The signature of President Juan Manuel Santos is needed to finalize the extradition. Read Article
