Colombia: Urabeños and FARC share close alliance

One of the older men and bloodthirsty of the FARC, and that the Defense Ministry offered two billion pesos reward in October, proved to be the cousin of Juan de Dios Usuga, drug for which the ‘ Urabeños’ north of the country paralyzed for 20 days, after his death. Luis Carlos Restrepo Usuga, alias ‘Isaiah Trujillo’, one of the ‘legendary’ of the guerrilla group and current head of the block northwest of the FARC, is one of the five family members of the top leaders of the ‘Urabeños’ which, according to reports of the authorities, are in subversion.
But beyond blood ties between exparamilitares and guerrillas, which now worries the intelligence agencies is how the family Usuga (of either side) control is distributed in the northwestern and northern Colombia. Read Article

TIME met a report of the authorities and the track is recorded that for years have made this criminal clan.

Usuga settlers (the grandparents of the present war chiefs in eight departments), who came to Necoclí (Antioquia) at the beginning of last century, they had three sons. From their marriage were born nine men entangled in the war ended with hundreds dead, kidnapped, displaced and missing in tow.
