Colombia: embezzlement remains number one corruption charge

Transparency Secretariat of the Presidency said yesterday that corruption offenses were recorded more in the country, between November 2011 and March 2012, are embezzlement (45.2%), bribery (31.8%) , extortion (11.7%) and breach of public duty (6.4%). In criminal sanctions, in a measurement per 100,000 inhabitants, the first place was Amazon, with 119.7 cases sanctioned, followed by Caldas, with 75.9; Quindío, with 70.4; Caquetá, with 63.8 , and Cauca, with 60.6.
