The Anti-Drug Association of Argentina visited the Arauco area in the La Rioja province and discovered various clandestine airstrips thought to be used by drug traffickers. One of the runways was discovered 300 meters from a rock representing the face of Jesus Christ, an area where people also like to practice the sport of “kite buggy.” The second airstrip was found near the town of Aimogasta along Route 60, NOA Noticias reports. A third was discovered in Santa Teresita, a town just over the provincial border in Catamarca. This information was transferred to the Federal Justice Department of La Rioja, the first time the Anti-Drug Association has collaborated with federal officials. Read Article
