Clandestine airstrip, plane, and 378 kilos of marijuana discovered in Sonora, Mexico

The Secretary of Public Security in Mexico has announced the discovery of a clandestine airstrip in Sonora. According to La Jornada, the runway was found on the state route to Cucurpe around kilometer 9, in the town of Magdalena de Kino. 38 packages of marijuana were found inside the plane, which was a Cessna model. The marijuana had a total weight of 378 kilos. A van with a U.S. California license plate was also seized. No arrests have been reported. Read Article
