Chopshop Discovered in Los Mártires, Bogotá, Colombia

•As the police conducted a visit to auto part vendor “Lujos y Repuestos Abril,” they discovered an elevator that lead to hidden levels of the building revealing the stolen cars and their parts according to eltiempo.com.
•The cars discovered had their identifying information removed
•On the first floor was documentation that the perpetrators used to give a legal face to their operations.
•It is estimated that the chop shop would operate on around 1 to 2 cars daily.
•Five individuals have been captured and could be sentenced between 7 and 13 years of prison for aggravated reception of stolen goods and aggravated theft. Read Article
