A Buenos Aires police officer has been arrested after allegedly being drunk and shooting and killing 30-year-old Damián Romero early this morning outside of La Casona, a club on Sarmiento Ave., according to infobae.com. A fight started between a group of young men, including Romero, outside the club, where the police officer sat in his car brandishing a gun and firing a couple of shots. The group tried to take the gun from the officer and in response he began firing in all directions. Another young man was injured and Romero died almost instantly. The officer claimed he thought the men were trying to rob his car, but has been arrested by his own force. Officers are awaiting the results of an alcohol test to see if the man was drunk at the time of the murder.
