Argentina: Cellphone imports drop 17 percent

The number of mobile phones grew 12.2 percent in the first half of the year over the same period earlier, while imports of such equipment fell 17.3 percent, for the development of the local assembly of equipment. This was stated by a report by consultancy Sectoral Economic Research (IES) released this morning. According to this work, last June the number of lines across the country rose to 54.6 million, up 11 percent over the same month, and an annual increase of nearly 5.4 million units. Read Article
