Ambato, Ecuador: Areas Without Water For 4 Days, Ends Friday

According to ElComercio.com thousands of residents in eight parishes and villages located in the northwest of Ambato have been without drinking water since the night of Tuesday July 5th. The Private Municipal Enterprise for Water and Sewage in Ambato (EP EMAPA) has suspended operation while technicians waterproof reservoir tanks located in Atahualpa and Unamuncho. The water supply will be restored this Friday, July 8th. Some residents have complained that they were not notified of the repairs and the water stoppage, which led to water leakage in some of the homes in the affected areas, says the article.
