Advertisement and Retail Sale of Cigarettes Banned in Colombia Starting Thursday

•As of Thursday, the retail sale and advertisement of cigarettes will be banned in Colombia.
•According to Caracol Radio’s report, new packets and images are to be used at the expenses of the companies, not the retailers.
•There will also be an effort made to find work for moving vendors of cigarettes.
•Any retailer found in violation will receive sanctions, which may range from a warning to a minimum fine of up to 100 salaries as well as the suspension of health license and permit issued to the establishment. Read Article
